No. 1- Say " Thank You"

Say "Thank You" - this seems like such an obvious and natural thing to do,but when is the last time you received a "Thank You" note from someone you've done business with? Or any correspondence, other than an invoice? This simple touch can make a huge impact because it speaks volumes about how important your customer is to you.

Great point! I make it a point to email all customers when an order is received to tell them the order is packaged and ready to go. I also say Thank You! It's so important. And how much do you love when companies you're purchased from email you back to say thanks too? It totally sticks in your mind and you're far more likely to shop there again. My attitude is treat your customers the exact same way as you'd like to be treated yourself.

A "thank you" is such an easy thing to do,and so cost effective even for a small start up business. It's also a great way to convert a customer that might be on the fence about becoming a repeat.

Great point. I always email my customers with a thank you after they've ordered, and an estimated shipping time. Plus I have cute little stickers that say 'thank you', which I pop inside or on the parcel boxes.

Erin, stickers are a great idea. Stickers say "Thank You" in such a refreshing way.
