Fresh Lemon Has a Fresh New Look

Fresh Lemon - Garden fresh lemons; Sunny and bright with a note of earthy green, a perfect way to revive and refresh your senses. Pure essential oils provide fabulously fresh scent and a happy yellow color to the soap while olive oil infused with calendula calms and soothes your skin.

Fresh Lemon has always smelled fabulous now she has a fresh new look! The newest edition of  Fresh Lemon will be ready  Aug. 11. 2011-until then there are still a few bars of the previous edition left. Pick yourself a Fresh Lemon today!

So, this photo is the first taken on the manual setting. I find yellow a very difficult color to get right-it washes out very easily looking almost white(hint-white balance is your friend.lol!) I wasn't able to get a good yellow via manual-this is a photo my husband took. I am going to work on learning the manual side of photography, mostly because I've noticed that when you do get a feel for the settings-the colors just come alive in a way that Auto photographs just do not. I think it may be a long journey for me, but in the end so worth it.

Thank you Amy!The nice thing about the yellow is that there is no colorant involved to get it.I just used a bit of td to get the white swirled part. :))

Beautiful looking soap, very lemony! Concerning the photograph, the woody backdrop is very dark in comparison to the lighter soap. Your cam is trying to find the middle in exposure time so that your wood won't get too dark. By doing so, it overexposes the lighter soap, sucking out its color. Using the manual option you want to get the right exposure for the main object and then the rest go..which would give you a darker background and pop the colors of your soap. Also..soap needs to be more in focus than the wood structure. Set the lowest f-stop your camera offers and take it from there...ok, enough tec-talk ;)

Thanks for the tec'tips there bongs.Manual is a whole new world from using Auto all this time. Ugh-and then there is the camera manual to try and decipher-that's going well(not really.)It will take a bit,but I think it will be valuable to take the time. Thanks so much for your help!:))

Beautiful soap, Michele. I like the swirl. I will be infusing some olive oil with calendula soon too. Wish I could help you with the photography issue but I am not much of a photographer.

Hi Michele,

Despite most of us having ordinary photography skills, a great quality soap shines through. And your "Fresh Lemon" really comes across as a tangy, enticing soap that is a beautiful work of art!

I really like the inclusion of calendula to soothe and calm your skin. As we know with our Lemon Verbena soap, lemon is a perfect soap for this time of year, with its upbeat, cheerful and exquisite appearance. The bright colors of this soap really look great. Nice job Michele!
