Me

Me January 25, 2012 the day before my 21st wedding anniversary-yep 21 years. It's hard to believe. I've earned every gray hair and wrinkle on this face-it's who I am and nothing more, nothing less.

I've fought tooth and nail to avoid a photo of myself appearing anywhere in the remote proximity of my blog/Facebook etc,but well sooner or later it's bound to happen. Right? So, in honor of my new life mantra -here ya go-there now, somehow this is terrifying and liberating all at once.

My new mantra-
"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best and expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side as long as you are true to the best that is in you!" @ Amy,Thank you so much my sweet friend-it was really outside my box.I wonder if you can tell how mortified I was-I was all like"where do I look, do I smile-what?" I had a few photos taken for an online interview a friend of mine will be posting tomorrow.I tried to resist-a photo was just a request not a requirement, but I know that people have been wondering if I have a third eye or what-soooo, here I am worts and all.

A beautiful person to accompany a beautiful mantra. I think I will have to write your mantra in my journal.

Oh,btw. I do have that mantra posted on the wall above my monitor and I read it every day. It sums up so much about the peace I need to find within myself, so that I can extend it to the others in my life. It's what I want to teach my children,it's the way I want to interact with loved ones, friends and acquaintances. I'm striving to take that journey each and every day.
