Woot!!!

Ladies and Gents, I give you a perfectly pristine block of Olive Oil and Goat's Milk. Woot!!!

If you heard a big  loud Woot!!! at 3:30 a.m. this morning-it was me. I was up checking on my first block of Olive Oil Goat's Milk that I've made in a very long time and it was flawless. Yay!!Yes, I have re-stocks to get up and underway and I was just a tad bit filled with dread-but it seems the soap faeries have moved on for now and I couldn't be happier. My confidence is guardedly boosted as I delve into one of my more problematic batches next...cross your fingers.

@ Jen-Thanks so much my sweet friend! You're the best cheerleader ever!!

Nope, nothing different-except take a month off from making blocks.I did make a few rounds here and there, but was so uptight about messing up a block, I just couldn't face it.(and I say messing up-it was all an aesthetic thing-never a formulary issue-not a huge deal.(except for a blow to me perfectionist sensibilities-really.)

I've been lucky enough to have a nice run with a private acct. etc and sold off some of my existing inventory-so I had to get up the courage to re-stock and well-so far so good.A more persnickety batch coming up today-so we'll see,but I'm encouraged and feeling good about it.

@ Traci R. It's a huge, huge relief. I so like my soap to be at it's very, very best.I was quite discouraged by it all and a break did Wonders! Thank you!!

I am so happy that you are feeling soapy confident again... but if you didn't get to the bottom of why it happened, will you always have that doubt that it may happen again? On one hand, I wish it were all more straight forward and simple. On the other hand - if it were, I might be bored by now. I recently had to retire my purple lavender soap because the natural colour just wasn't straight-forward and simple... but I will get back there. I love a challenge! Looking foward to more of your soap photos. xo Jen

Woo hoo!! Way to get your confidence back up!! It's all downhill from here. :)

Hey, did you hear about the Central Soaper's Workshop in KC this March? Would love to have you come!!

@ Michelle-Hey there Michelle, thanks for popping by and for the kind words.

@ Jen,I hear you-it would be nice to unlock some of the mysterious goings on related so soaping issues such as ash etc, but then if it were easy everyone would be doing it.I guess a curve ball once in awhile keeps us on our toes.

@ Amy- Thanks Amy,it's a great feeling to be making soap again. There for awhile I wondered if I would get the gumption up to do it again. I just have that thing that makes me want to do it absolutely the best I can or not at all-it's always a battle.

Kansas isn't too far away-hmmmm, I might consider that-Thank you!

@Anne-Marie-whew!such a relief to finally pull off a flawless batch.I'm still not sure what the issue was(I suspect humidity)but I'm taking advantage of the window of opportunity and rejoicing in my new mojo. Thank you as always for your encouragement!!
