So pretty! I missed out on a felting class recently, but just didn't have time ... I do love the look of these felted beauties -sis you create them, Michele? :)
Becky, there are several tutorials on line for felted soaps.I watched/read through them and just went at it.I have been playing with felting for about 3 years-since I first discovered soap. It's a great way to utilize soap that just doesn't look up to par,but is otherwise good. It's also one of those time consuming deals that I have to be in the mood to do-but I love how they look.
Thanks for stopping by my sister-you always make my day! :D
I just love the look of felted soap. I want to try this sometime soon, although I doubt my will look as pretty as yours. Great job!
Thank so much Erica!Glad you stopped by.With a little practice yours will look great! It was a lot of trial and error(and patience.)I still have room for improvement, but I just pick it up every now and then when I feel I am in the mood to mess with it.
your felted soap looks great, i havnt tried it yet but i shall when i have a little more time :)
Hi Michele,
What a great concept! These felted soaps look enticing. You instinctively want to grab one of these soft, furry soaps and rub them against your skin. It's an interesting pull. What motivated you to take this on? Have you had feedback on them yet from customers or other soap makers?
Have you found making Felt Soap an ideal way to utilize soaps that didn't turn out the way you hoped?
We haven't tried making Felt Soaps yet, but it does seem from your comments that it does take quite a bit of practice AND patience. Nice job Michele!

So very pretty, Michele. I love how these look.
Thanks so much Tara!I really like to do them, but it's one of those things I have to be in the mood to do.I get some great roving from a shop off Etsy - very nice merino wool. It's a lot softer than a lot of the craft store wool, but if you have a good fiber shop around you can probably get some locally.
@Michael-Actually, when a friend first suggested that I make some felted soap I was like ???? but after seeing some really gorgeous felted soap I knew I had to give it a try.I read/watched tutorials and learned the basics and then just practiced every now and then because I wanted so badly to make mine as pretty as some I had seen around on the web.
