Sour Grapes

This morning I woke up to comments from "Anonymous" spewing vile hateful words regarding the recent Cocobong review. In all the years I have been blogging I have never, never had anyone leave comments like that. My experience of the soap making community has been nothing but pleasant - thank goodness you are not the norm. You didn't even have the "huevos" to leave your name and according to your comments-"I'm pathetic?"

I'm sorry that you feel the way you do-but YOU are not worth a moment of my worry. That is all.

Michele, I am very sorry for such hateful behavior. I have no clue as to what makes these people tic...be well and let it go. It's all so ridiculous
For what it is worth...I really did love your soap sample

Well you know, there has to be a "bad egg" in every several dozen or so. No worries.

I've found the soap making community to be very gracious, supportive and pleasant overall.

Sorry to hear this has happened to you. It's never nice to be targeted by someone like that. But don't worry about it, it's their problem, not yours! It's obviously someone who's not happy in themselves and feels the need to bring others down.

Bravo! I'm new to the soaping community and those comments are shockingly petty and totally uncalled for!

Barbara, be rest assured this is an isolated incident and is not typical. You will most definitely find people very hospitable and supportive of your soaping journey.

I would also like to that it is important that we keep reviews in perspective here. One person's opinion is just that-one person's opinion.

I don't typically submit my product for review because in some respects I feel they can be damaging to a new start up business that is just trying to get off the ground. This was an incident where my product was purchased out right and then reviewed. I do think that it is the responsible thing for the person reviewing to select their wording carefully-it's a fine balance between being honest and causing harm to someone's business/feelings.

Yeah! What the heck? I come back to Blogger after several weeks and look what happened. Completely ridiculous.

On another note, I'm really liking the new blog setup. Clean, calming, pretty, just like your products. Good work.

I agree the soap making community is a wonderfully supportive one and these incidents are thankfully rare.

Sending soapy hugs to you both ... and anyone else involved!

It's happened to me as well. People love to tear down success. Keep your grace and dignity as an example and keep moving forward. Haters will be haters....
